Disclaimer: Roswell doesn't belong to be, but Max Evans will........lol. I
wish.
Summary: Maria is in love with Michael and Alex loves Isabel. Hopelessly it
seems until a familiar stranger shows up to help them both. Based On: The Time Travel challenge
NOTE: This is 2 years later. They are all seniors.
They were all at the mall, shopping for their senior prom, which was only a few weeks away.
"I don't know, Liz" Isabel said, still looking in the mirror. "Don't you think that this outfit makes me look fat?"
This time, Maria did turn to look as Isabel. **It's not the outfit** Maria thought and then she stopped herself from thinking any such thoughts. She did not hate Isabel, she told herself.
"Nah! I can't wear this to the prom." Isabel said, turning away from the mirror. "Plus, I want something blue...Michael likes blue." Isabel finished, grinning, as she went in to change.
Maria turned back to the gowns and put away the blue gown that she herself had unconsciously chosen.
"I liked that one." Liz said.
"What?" Maria asked.
"The blue gown. Why don't you try it on?"
"No. I don't really like it." Maria said.
"Maria, Micheal is." Liz started but stopped as Isabel came out of the dressing room.
Isabel went in the back to look at more dresses while Liz went in to try out her gown.
"Here, Maria." Isabel said, coming back with a beautiful navy blue gown. "Try this on. It will look great with your coloring."
Maria sighed. It was really hard to hate Isabel when she was trying her best to be nice to Maria. "I don't know. It's blue. Why don't you try it on?"
Isabel shook her head. "Nope. It will look better on you."
It did look great on Maria when she tried it on.
"I think you should get this one, Maria." Liz said.
"Do you have a date yet, Maria?" Isabel asked.
"No," Maria said. It wasn't that no one had asked her, because more than enough people had, just not the one Maria wanted to go with. And he wasn't going to either. "I am still trying to figure out who to go with," Maria added.
"Why are we even here?" Michael complained. "It's not
like any of us want to be the Prom King or anything," he said with disgust.
"I am going to get this one." Max said, ignoring others, as he took out a tux for the prom.
"Finally. Well, why don't you check out and Alex and I can go order food." Michael said, at which Max nodded.
In the restaurant, they ran into the girls.
"What are you all doing here?" Alex asked.
"Prom shopping," all three of them said at once. "How about you?" Maria asked at the same time when Liz said, "Where is Max?"
"He is.....well, he is coming," Michael said, ignoring the other question.
Michael went to place their order, while all the others took a seat. Michael came back and sat beside Isabel, and opposite Maria. Max showed up minutes later and sat by Liz.
"Did you all find anything?" Alex asked, not that he cared.
"Only Maria," Isabel said. "You guys have to see her outfit!" she added enthusiastically but the guys didn't share the feeling.
"Who are you going with, Maria?" Alex asked.
Maria sighed. "I have no idea."
"Me neither," Isabel added.
"What did you say?" Michael asked.
"I am not going to the prom with you unless you'll run for the prom king. Because I will be the prom queen." Isabel said.
Michael sighed. He had told her earlier in the week that he didn't want to run and he'll take himself out of the running if he was elected. After all, what guy actually wanted to be the prom king? "OK, fine!" he said. "I'll run if I am elected."
"Really?" Isabel smiled brightly and leaned in to kiss him.
"I have to go now," Alex stood up. "Football practice" he added and left.
Liz frowned. "I thought that the practice was canceled for today?"
Maria stood up, shrugging. "I have to go too,"
Isabel and Michael pulled away. "Where are you going?" Isabel asked.
"I have to go see someone" Maria said and turned to leave.
"Bye, Maria!" Michael said.
"Take care!" Isabel added.
Minutes later, Liz and Max left to go see a movie and Michael and Isabel went to some party..
Alex drove out to the desert and parked his car in the usual spot. He got out and walked around. He often came out here to think...mostly about
Isabel. Senior year was approaching to an end soon and Isabel was planning
to go to NYU, afterwards. He had to tell her how he felt before then.
He
knew that she was with Michael but he didn't want to wonder "what
if...." for the rest of his life.
It was then for the first time that he met *her*. He was standing there when he heard someone come up behind him.
"Hey, there!" she said.
*Isabel?* Alex thought to himself and turned around. Not Isabel, but a stunningly beautiful woman stood there. She was tall, slim, with silky dark curls and amazing violet eyes. Alex's reaction to her was instant. He forgot Isabel's existence........at least for a second.
"Hey." Alex said.
"I was wondering if you could help me?"
"Yea?" Alex asked.
"My car broke down...I was going to Roswell, and I..."
"Where is your car?" Alex asked.
She pointed and then led him to a brand-new Ferrari. Alex couldn't find anything wrong with the car, but it wasn't working.
"You know...I was just going to Roswell. I could drop you off and then you could get your car later?"
"That'd be great!" she said, smiling brightly.
Alex could've sworn that he had never met her before...and he would have remembered her.........yet she looked eerily familiar.
"Wait." she said as Alex started to turn. She walked up to him and offered her hand. "I am Elena Gu...Gilbert." she said.
Alex noticed that she had been about to say something else. He shook her hand. "Alex Whitman." he said and she held on to his hand.
"It's wonderful to meet you, Alex." she said and Alex wondered why he had thought she was Isabel. Her voice now seemed different and she had an English accent.
"Same here," Alex took his hand away and walked to his car.
"Are you from around here?" Alex asked as he started the car.
"Not really, but I grew up here," she said. "You go to West Roswell High?" she asked, changing the subject.
"How do you know?" Alex asked.
"I used to go there." she said, ignoring his question.
Alex looked at her. She really was incredibly beautiful. She didn't look any older than 18, but Alex figured that she probably was.
"The prom is coming up soon," Elena said. "I remember my prom.....it was almost perfect." She smiling, closing her eyes. "So do you have a date yet?"
Alex didn't see how that was any of her business but he told her anyway. "No..the girl I am in love with....."
"Is going with someone else?" she asked, opening her eyes.
Alex looked at her. She had the most amazing eyes.
"Is it that obvious?" Alex asked, trying to smile.
"Nope, I am just good at these things," she said. "But that's no reason to miss your prom," she said. "You can *always* fun the guy over or break them up."
Alex laughed. "Funny," he said.
"I wasn't joking, Alex." she said in a way that made Alex's skin crawl.
~*~*~*Once In A Lifetime, part 2: Cruel Intentions ~*~*~*~
It was late and Maria was fixing to close Crashdown Cafe when she heard a knock on the door. It was Michael. She went and opened the door.
"What are you doing here?" Maria asked as she let him in.
"I need to talk to you." Michael came in and closed the door.
"What is it?" Maria asked.
"I just wanted to see if you would like to go to the prom with me?" he asked.
**YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!** Maria thought, but she had to ask him. "But what about Isabel?" she asked, dreading the answer.
"We are so over," Michael said.
"YES!" Maria said.
"YES!...we broke up?" Michael asked, frowning.
"No, Yes, I'll go to the prom with you." Maria said.
Michael smiled and leaned in to kiss her but just before his lips touched hers, she heard Liz calling...
"Maria! Wake up! The bell is about to ring!" Liz shook Maria gently.
Maria opened her eyes and took no time getting back to reality. Right in front of her, Michael and Isabel sat together. Isabel was whispering something to him. Maria sighed, and concentrated on staying awake.
When the school ended, Maria went to the parking lot. As she was waiting for Liz, Michael came in the parking lot.
"Hey, Maria!" he said, walking up to her.
"Hi," Maria said, smiling.
"Interesting lecture in history today, huh?" Michael commented.
Maria sighed. "I wouldn't know; I was sleeping."
Michael smiled. "Yeah, I noticed" he said.
He had noticed? Maria smiled. "Really? I thought you were too busy doing other things." She joked.
Michael groaned. "Isabel was filling me in on the preparations Liz
and she made for the prom. Believe me, the lecture was interesting compared to
that." He finished.
"The prom.that reminds me. Congratulations on being nominated for the
prom king. Why didn't they announce the nominees for the queen?"
Maria asked.
"Stacey Schenin isn't here today. So Isabel asked Liz to postpone the
thing." Liz was the president of West Roswell High's senior class,
and Isabel was the vice president.
"I voted for you." Michael said.
"Really?" Maria asked, really surprised.not to mention touched.
He had voted for her when Isabel wanted to run.
He nodded. "Yes, I am kind of hoping that Izzy won't be on the
court.which is very unlikely.maybe then she'll."
"And I want you to order a tiara with blue jewels in it,"
Isabel's lively chatter drowned out Michael's voice as she entered the parking lot with Liz.
They were both looking at some booklet. "I mean, we all know
that I'll win, I might have the tiara personalized."
Michael looked at Maria. "See what I mean?" he said,
smiling.
Liz laughed. "Don't worry, Isabel. I'll have them inscribe your
name on it."
Isabel laughed and finally noticed them. Her eyes lit up as she saw Michael. She walked up to him and kissed him lightly.
"Can we go now, Liz?" Maria asked.
Liz shrugged, and opened the car door. "Does anyone know where Alex
was today?"
"I didn't see him all day." Isabel said.
"Me neither," Maria added.
Liz frowned. "I guess we'll all see him at the game tonight."
With that she got in the car.
"See you two at the game, tonight!" Maria said, getting in.
"Bye, Maria!" Isabel said, getting in her car.
Michael leaned down and kissed her briefly, "I'll see you tonight." he
said.
"Ditto," Isabel said, kissing back.
Michael pulled away reluctantly and closed her door.
"Take care," Isabel said, pulling out of the parking lot.
"Bye!" Michael said and walked to his own car.
Max was in his room, looking for something when Isabel walked in his room.
Isabel frowned, looking at him. "It's almost 6:00 p.m., Max. I
thought you were taking Liz out for dinner before the game?"
Max turned to her and frowned. "I still am. I was just about to
leave."
Isabel gasped, putting a hand to her throat. "You can't go out with
her wearing that shirt! She'll dump you!"
Max sucked in a breath. "Really?" he asked.
Isabel burst into laughter. "No, I was joking. You look
wonderful." She smiled, adding "Runs in the family."
Max smiled. "When is Michael picking you up?"
"He isn't," Isabel said, sitting down on the bed. "I have
to leave for the game early. He'll be there when the game starts."
"I'll see you at the game, then." Max said, taking out his car
keys.
Isabel nodded. "Take care, Izzy." Max said, patting
Isabel's head, making her frown. Max laughed at her expression and left. Isabel left after
a little while.
Alex looked up at the bleachers in the middle of football practice. Elena was sitting on the bleachers, talking to some guy. After he had dropped
her off her house, she had insisted that he stay a while. He had stayed till
really late and as a result, missed school. He had also asked her to come to the game. Alex looked over to where the cheerleaders were; Isabel had
just arrived. She waved to him when she saw him looking towards her.
Alex waved back and went back to practice.
Michael arrived just before the game started. He spotted Isabel with the cheerleading squad and then went to sit with Maria.
"Hey!" Maria said, smiling brightly.
"Hi," Michael said, sitting down beside her. "I didn't know
you were coming. But I am glad you did. These games could get really
boring."
"Ditto," Maria said. "I won't even be here if not for
Alex."
"Are you auditioning for the new play?" Michael asked.
Maria shrugged. "I don't know. I want to, but I am not sure if
I'll have the time to do it."
"You should.the play needs you." Michael said. "Not that
it's a bad play." He amended, remembering that Maria had helped with the script too.
Maria smiled. "I think I know what you mean."
After the game ended, Max and Liz went up to Maria and Michael.
"Hey, guys!" Liz said, sitting next to them.
"Where were you guys?" Maria asked.
"We didn't come until after the break." Liz said.
"You had to see Alex. He was really good." Maria told her.
"So were the cheerleaders." Michael added, making them laugh.
"Where is Alex?" Liz asked, scanning the crown for him.
"Hey, guys!" Isabel came up just then. "Who is the girl
with Alex?" she
asked, gesturing to the other side of the bleachers.
"You were amazing out there, Alex." Elena said, "I am so proud of
you."
Alex almost blushed, smiling. He was glad that Elena had come. Just
then, he saw Isabel walk up to the group on the other side.
"That's Isabel," Alex told Elena, pointing Isabel out.
"I could've guessed that," Elena said. "Where is
Michael?" she asked.
Alex stopped staring at Isabel and pointed out Michael.
Elena rolled her eyes. "Doomed," she said.
"What?" Alex asked.
"They'll never work out." She said. "I can just see it.
He'll propose on the graduation day. They'll get married two months later. Ten years down
the road, they'll be hating each other.so much that they'll do anything to change the fact that they ever got married." She finished, sighing.
Alex laughed. She sounded so sure of her prediction, which was kind of creepy. "Let's go." Alex said. "I want to introduce
you to her and the others."
Elena shook her head. "I don't think that will be a good idea,
Alex."
"Why not?" Alex asked.
"Nevermind," she said and stood up. "Let's go."
"Hey, guys!" Alex said, coming up to them.
"You were amazing out there, Alex." Isabel said, "I am so proud
of you."
Alex would have been flattered, but he got a really creepy feeling of déjà vu.
"Thanks, Isabel." He said, turning to everyone. "I want you all
to meet Elena Gilbert.she used to go to West Roswell High."
Isabel offered her hand. "Hey, I am Isabel Evans."
Elena seemed to hesitate a second before taking her hand, but she finally did.
The moment Elena held Isabel's hand, Isabel felt a head-splitting headache, and a series of visions/flashes went through her head.
Flash #1:
Night time, outside West Roswell High. Michael and Isabel sitting outside in royal blue graduation gowns.
"Isabel, will you marry me?" Michael asks.
Flash #2:
A church with lots of people in there. Isabel in a wedding gown, standing next to Michael. Max and Liz are right behind them.
Flash #3:
Max lying on the bed with his eyes closed. Liz sitting by him, crying. Isabel and Michael arguing.
"If not for you, he would be alive." Isabel says. "I HATE
you, Michael Guerin!"
Flash #4:
Isabel and Michael in a very strange looking garden with trees of every color. "I wish I had never married you. I wish I could change
that." Isabel says to Michael.
Isabel quickly let got of Elena's hand, but her headache remained. At
least the images were gone. Then, Isabel fainted.
"Isabel?" Max bent down to see what was wrong. Liz went to
get someone.
Alex looked at Elena. She shrugged. "I told you it wouldn't be
a good idea," She said and Alex wondered if she had anything to do with
Isabel's fainting.
~*~*~*Once In A Lifetime, part 3: Building a Mystery~*~*~*~
It was late when Isabel woke up. She got out of her bed and went to Max's room. She had to see him; her vision had felt so real. Max wasn't in
his
room or anywhere else in the house. His car was gone too.
When Max got home, he went to check on Isabel. She was awake.
"Where were you?" she asked, looking worried.
Max closed the door and went to sit by Isabel. "I went to see
Michael; he had a little accident." Max said and went on before Isabel could
panic. "Some Ferrari almost ran him over, but he wasn't hurt or anything."
"Whose car was it?" Isabel sat up.
"We don't know." Max said. "What happened at the
game?" Max asked, changing the subject.
Isabel shrugged. "I don't know. It felt like my head would
explode and then all these images went through my head." Isabel laughed.
"You must think I am crazy."
"No," Max said. "So images like premonitions?" he
asked.
"They seemed like it.but they felt more like memories. I don't
know." She said again.
"What did you see?" Max asked.
"Nothing that I could remember." Isabel lied. She didn't want
him worried. Plus, in her last 'vision', she and Michael were definitely not on Earth.
Long ago, after Valenti's death, they had figured that they were on Earth to
stay for good. All their links had turned up dead. Isabel didn't
want to destroy the sense of comfort that had developed since they thought that they
were staying. She'll have to figure this one out on her own.
"Well, then, get some rest. Or you wouldn't look as good as Stacey
for your prom speech tomorrow." Max said, standing up.
Isabel frowned. "I always look better than Stacey." She
said.
Max smiled and bent down to kiss her on the forehead.
"Sleep tight," he said and left her room.
"Our 3rd Prom princess is the head cheerleader," Liz introduced the
3rd prom princess after reading the ballot. "Stacey Joy Schenin."
Liz said and waited for Stacey to come and make her speech.
Isabel groaned. "I would like to know who voted for her."
She said. They were all in the Gym for the prom nominations.
"I second that." Maria added.
"I, for one, can see why they voted for her." Michael said.
Isabel glared
at him but didn't say anything.
"I want to thank you all for making the right choice." Stacey started
her speech.
"Spare us!" Isabel said and Maria rolled her eyes.
Liz thanked God when Stacey's speech was over. She picked up and opened
the next ballot.
Isabel noticed that Liz smiled as she opened the next ballot. **I am in!**
Isabel thought.
"Our 4th Prom princess is one of my best friends and the school's best actress. Maria Maya DeLuca." Liz said.
Maria couldn't believe that she was nominated.
"I told you to have a speech ready just in case." Isabel said.
She didn't care if Maria was on the court. She knew that she was on the 5th ballot.
"Thank you all for voting for me. This is so unexpected. And
needless to say, I don't have a speech to make." Maria finished and came back.
"Now for out last princess," Liz opened the ballot.
"Another one of my very good friends, a cheerleader, and the Vice President of our senior
class.Isabel Elena Evans."
Isabel stood up and went to make her speech. "I want to thank you all
who voted for me. And for the rest of you.what drugs were you all on?"
Isabel started her speech, making everyone laugh.
"How was it?" Isabel asked, coming back.
"I liked it," Maria said as Isabel sat down.
"Well." Michael said. "It was better than Stacey's."
"You were great, Isabel." Alex said, coming up to them.
"Thank you, Alex." Isabel said, smiling brightly. "At least
someone has the taste to know that." She said, looking at Michael.
Liz dismissed the assembly then and they all went to their classes.
"I still say that you should tell her how you feel." Elena said to
Alex yet again.
They were both at the Crashdown Café.
"She is with Michael." Alex reminded her.
"So what?" Elena said. "Plus, she won't be with him
for long."
Alex sighed. He had no idea why he had even told her about all this.
But it was good to have someone to talk to. He talked to Maria sometimes, but
they usually avoided the Michael-Isabel topic.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked.
"Just that they won't be together forever. I bet that Isabel will go
to the prom with you." Elena said.
Again, Alex was surprised by her confidence.
"What if she doesn't?" Alex asked.
Elena laughed. "If she won't go with you, I will." She said.
"I am not so sure that I want her to go with me anymore." Alex
replied, laughing.
"Well, then." Elena stopped and her eyes lit up as she saw someone
behind Alex. He followed her gaze to see that Max had entered the café.
"I'll be back." Elena stood up and walked over to Max.
Alex sighed, feeling a little jealous. Although he couldn't figure out
why. He stood up and went to the counter.
"Did you ask her to the prom yet?" Maria asked Alex, wiping the
counter.
"Isabel?" Alex asked.
"No! Elena." Maria said.
"No, and I am not going to either."
"Why not? You seem to like her." Maria asked.
"I don't know if I should, Maria. It's just." Alex stopped as
more customers came in and Maria had to go.
"Hey, Max" Liz said, walking up to Max's table. "Hello,
Elena." She added.
"Hi." Elena and Max said.
Elena stood up as Liz sat down beside Max. "I should be going."
She said.
"Bye, Elena." Liz said just as Max started to ask her to stay.
"Take care, Elena." He said finally.
He was sorry to see her go. He would have liked to talk to her longer. Which was strange since Max didn't make friends with strangers this fast.
But Elena was different, familiar. Even at the game, she had seemed that way. But he knew that he had never met her before.
~*~*~*Once In A Lifetime, part 4: Always You ~*~*~*~
The next day, Maria ran into Elena at the mall.
"Hey!" Maria said when she saw her.
"Oh, hello, Maria." Elena said. "Prom shopping?" She asked.
"Not really." Maria replied. "I already got a dress, but no date yet." Maria said before Elena could ask her.
"No one asked you?!" Elena asked, surprised.
"They did, but..."
"Michael didn't?" Elena cut in.
Maria looked surprised. "How?" she asked.
"I am good at these things. Don't worry. He'll ask you." Elena said.
Maria laughed. "I am sure that even Michael couldn't handle 2 dates."
"Have you eaten yet?" Elena asked suddenly.
"Not yet," Maria replied.
"Come on, I know a really good place." Elena said, leading the way.
"Do you think I should tell them?" Isabel asked Liz after
telling her about her visions.
They were both at Liz's house, in her room. Liz didn't seem too happy about Isabel's so called visions.
"I don't know, Isabel." Liz said. "But you are right; If you do tell them, they will go back to looking for answers. But it might not be so bad."
"What do you mean?" Isabel asked.
"You said that you saw Max die.. Maybe if you all leave before then, then he won't die." Liz said, sitting down on the bed beside Isabel.
"They did not feel like premonitions, Liz." Isabel said.
"Then I guess we'll have to wait and find out. Graduation is not that far away." Liz said, referring to Isabel's first vision.
"Which one?" Isabel held out 2 dressed in front of her, after
closing the door to Max's room.
Max put away the magazine that he had been reading.
"Which one what?" he asked.
"Which dress should I wear?" Isabel said.
"That depends.where are you going?"
"On a date..with Michael." Isabel replied. "So which one?"
"Why don't you just pick one like you usually do?" he asked.
"Because, I don't know where he is taking me. But he said it's somewhere special. And we are.."
"Spare me the details." Max said. "Why are you asking me though?"
"Believe me, Max, if I had a choice I won't. I want a guy's opinion and you are the only one that I have access to right now."
"Why, thank you, Isabel. It's good to know that I mean so much to you."
"Ahh.Just pick one!"
Max sighed and looked at the 2 dresses that Isabel was holding.
"The red one," he said finally.
"Are you sure?" Isabel asked. "Because I think I like the black one better. I think I'll just go with the black one."
Max sighed.
Isabel laughed. "I'll wear the red one." She said and left the room.
"So, what do you think?" Michael asked, looking at Isabel
expectantly.
Isabel was speechless. She had never imagined that Michael would go to such extents to please her. She knew that he didn't like to show his feelings much. She was definitely flattered. Michael had brought her to the cave where their pods had been. Except that it didn't look like a cave anymore. He had put candles everywhere. There were rugs on the floor and a dinner table set up.
Isabel stepped forward and kissed him, putting her arms around his neck. Michael kissed her back and Isabel let her thoughts drift.
This was where she had fallen in love with Michael. Max and her had a huge
fight and she had come out here to get away. Michael had been the one to come after her. He had talked to her and comforted her. That was
when she had kissed him for the first time. Michael had been the one to pull away,
and he had avoided her after that. But Isabel always did get what she wanted and that happened to be Michael at the time. She had
pursued him until he had finally asked her out on this exact day 2 years ago.
Later that evening, Isabel lay with her head in Michael lad as they discussed their plans after graduation. Isabel hated to be the one to spoil the mood, but she had to tell Michael.
"I received the letter from NYU today." She said. "I am accepted."
She felt Michael stiffen. "So you will leave after the graduation?" he asked.
Isabel sat up. "Probably. But you can go there too." Isabel said.
"Yeah, sure, Isabel. The deadline is already past." Michael said. "We'll talk about this later." He said, not wanting to spoil the day.
Isabel laid back down. Michael bent down and kissed her forehead. "I love you, Izzy." He said.
"I ran into Elena today at the mall." Maria told Liz as they sat
outside the Crashdown Café during their break.
Liz looked up. "Really?" she asked.
"Yeah. She helped me pick out jewelry for the prom. I like her. She is very nice.over confident and somewhat concieted, but nice.like Isabel." Maria added. "I think that Alex should ask her to the prom."
"I don't know, Maria. I don't really like her all that much. I mean yesteryday, she was sitting with Max when I arrived and she left as soon as I came."
Maria laughed. "You don't have to worry about Max falling for her.he is way too much in love with you. Plus, Elena looks too much like Isabel for Max to like her."
Liz frowned, "No, she doesn't."
Maria shrugged, standing up to go back in. "I think so. And I think that Alex sees the similarities too."
Michael drove out to the desert to the cave where he had taken Isabel earlier. In spite of everything that had
happened, he still hoped to find his origins. He knew that everything that he loved was right here on
Earth, but he had to know. Isabel of course didn't know that he was still looking
for answers. He suspected that Max knew, however.
Isabel couldn't go to sleep or think. This was too complicated. More
than anything, she wanted to stay here with Michael but N.Y.U. had.Isabel stood up and went downstairs. She grabbed her coat and car keys and
left to go
to the cave. It helped her think.
When she got to the cave, she realized that there was someone else in there. At first she was afraid but then
she saw that it was only Michael.
She smiled seeing him but didn't make her presence know. She stood there as
Michael fumbled with something.a chest, she figured. As she watched, he took something out of his jacket and put it in the chest. Isabel
recognized the chest then. They had been putting all their clues in their since they
figured that they were different. But they had stopped searching long ago.
Michael had destroyed the chest.or at least that's what he had told her.
But not only had Michael lied to her back then, he had also kept looking for answers without telling her. Isabel was appalled.
Michael felt more than saw Isabel there. He could always sense her..
He stood up and turned to find Isabel looking very shocked.
"Isabel, I just." he started.
"I couldn't believe that you would keep something like this from me. I am a part of this, you know." Isabel said angrily and then turned to leave.
"Isabel, wait. Isabel!" Michael went after her, but she got in her car and drove away.
"Shit!" Michael said and went back into the cave to put away the chest.
